At SolidDraft Design Solutions, we provide comprehensive engineering services, as demonstrated by our work on this Mild Steel Tallow Tank project. You tasked us with determining the tank's structural integrity under both dead load (3 tons) and live load (12 tons) conditions. To achieve this, we employed a multi-faceted approach.
First, we created a detailed 3D model of the tallow tank using SolidWorks. This model incorporated your provided specifications and dimensions, including a 10mm wall thickness, 4mm leg component pad thickness, 16mm leg baseplate thickness, 6" schedule 40 leg pipe, and 2" schedule 40 leg bracing. This accurate 3D model served as the foundation for subsequent analysis. We then generated precise shop drawings from this 3D model, essential for manufacturing and fabrication. Following this, we performed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations. These simulations rigorously tested the tank's ability to withstand the specified loads, allowing us to analyze stress distribution, deformation, and overall structural performance. Finally, we produced high-quality 3D renderings of the tallow tank using KeyShot. These renderings offer a clear and realistic visualization of the design, aiding in design reviews and project communication. This integrated approach—3D modeling, shop drawing generation, FEA simulation, and 3D rendering—ensures a thorough and professional solution.
